I spend my career making complex technology impossible to ignore — and my time off building communities, training off-road drivers, and finding the perfect pizza. Sometimes all in the same week.

About
Who I Am
I'm a product marketing leader with 15 years in cloud, SaaS, and video technology — most recently as Senior Manager of Product Marketing, Edge Compute Products at Akamai Technologies, where I ran global go-to-market for a $2B edge compute platform, launched 10+ products worldwide, and built enablement programs for 300+ sales reps. Before that, I was a Solutions Engineer driving $100M+ in annual revenue for the world's largest streaming brands. These days I work as a consultant, helping technology companies turn complex products into messaging that wins.
Teaching and service have been constants long before offroading was. It started with Starfire Singers — a youth choir out of Los Altos United Methodist Church that gave me a community in high school and stayed with me for 20 years. I couldn't really sing. That was beside the point. What it taught me was what it means to show up consistently for something bigger than yourself. Sixteen years as a youth counselor and tech ministry leader followed — and eventually, SNVORA.
The trail has its own version of that lesson. No matter your experience level, the mountain has something waiting for you. In 2022 a serious accident while volunteering on trail took that further than I expected: I had to learn to walk again. What got me through was the same thing that gets any driver through a hard line — focus on the next move, trust the people beside you, and keep going. That experience is the DNA of SNVORA. We teach skills, but what we're really teaching is how to stay grounded and push through when things get hard.
I live in Campbell with my wife Stefanie — winemaker, extraordinary cook, and my steadfast partner through a full year of 1950s-home renovation. Our dogs Scout and Bailey keep things lively. The backyard pizza oven stays busy. If you're ever nearby, you're welcome to come see what that looks like firsthand.
Professional
How I Can Help
Most product marketing consultants live on one side of the line — strategy or execution. CJ lives on both. He can architect a go-to-market plan in the morning and be stress-testing it with your sales team that afternoon. That's not common, and it's where the real work gets done.
Go-to-Market Strategy
Positioning, launch planning, and market segmentation for cloud, SaaS, and media technology companies. I've led GTM for 10+ global product launches, including a $2B platform.
Positioning & Messaging
Turning genuinely complex technology into clear, differentiated value propositions that resonate with buyers, analysts, and the press. This is the work I love most.
Sales Enablement
Playbooks, decks, battlecards, and training programs that give revenue teams the tools and confidence to win. Built and scaled programs for 300+ reps at Akamai.
Let's talk.
Whether it's a consulting conversation, an offroad question, or a debate about pizza toppings — I'm always up for a good one.
